A natural outcome of experiencing the extravagant love of Jesus is that His love flows through us into the community around us.
We desire to look around and ask, “Where are the broken places where we can bring Jesus?” These are the places we are called to go. Whether it’s serving a need in our own church family or tackling a need in the community, we are called to serve.
Project “Where Do You Serve?” | Each year we encourage people at CCC to make a commitment to serving in our community. In the “Where do you serve?” project, people commit to serving for at least two hours each quarter of the year. A custom CCC “Where do you serve?” t-shirt is given to each person who signs up, and we encourage people to wear their CCC shirt when they serve.
Here are some examples of the places where people in our CCC family currently serve: Pajaro Valley Loaves and Fishes, Watsonville Community Hospital, Second Harvest Food Bank, Pajaro Valley Shelter Services, and Set Free Monterey Bay. The Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz has also helped connect our church family to community needs.
Trunk or Treat | Our annual Trunk or Treat event is one of the ways we serve our Corralitos community. Every October 31st we offer a safe and family-friendly evening that includes: trick-or-treating at decorated trunks, free popcorn and hot dogs, a fun maze, bounce houses, CalFire engines, and balloons! Families can also pose for a free portrait to remember the evening by!
Other Local Efforts We Support | Through the generous contributions given by our church family, CCC is able to financially support projects and non-profit organizations in our community. We regularly give donations to Grace Harbor Women’s Center, Bradley Elementary School, Pajaro Valley Shelter Services, Pajaro Valley Loaves and Fishes, and Set Free Monterey Bay.
