The Church is getting hit from all sides these days. Some of it is self-inflicted and valid, because we are not reflecting the character and love of Jesus. Some of it comes from outside, because the world wants to silence voices that oppose its values.
We need to nurture a view of the Church that comes from God’s heart, so we can be who He meant us to be. Each week in our new teaching series we will study a different description of the Church, the people of God. This week we look at Ephesians 5:1-2 and unpack the word “beloved.” The Church is Jesus’ bride, adopted into His family, and He thinks of the church [drum roll…] with affection and honor! Let’s learn to love what God loves together this week.
