The book of John tells us that Jesus had TWO betrayers. One of them has a name is used in modern song lyrics for a person who drags down those around them. The other is called “apostle” and the cornerstone of the Church. In John 13:18-38 we encounter these two people who mirror each other in ugly ways, but then each finds a different Jesus. One of them will meet Jesus the Righteous Judge, and the other will hear “Well done my good and faithful servant.” Let’s learn from the second betrayer on how to make the right choice after we fail Jesus in this life!
