John 9 contains the iconic story where the One and Only Jesus heals a man who is blind from birth. This is a story of a man who was sitting in darkness and was brought into the light, both physically and spiritually. It is also a story of those who thought they were in the light, but in reality were blinding themselves and plunging themselves into darkness.
This story is as relevant today as it was two thousand years ago. Today there is much disease, darkness and despair, and today God still offers us the light of healing and the light of life.
