How important is Jesus? This week in 1 John, we meet some churchgoers who felt they could follow God without needing Jesus. There are many today who would agree, saying: “All religions are the same – be kind, pray to God, forgive others, help the needy. It doesn’t matter if you follow Buddha, Mohammad, or Jesus as long as you hold to these truths.”
The apostle John flatly rejected this idea and had a surprising word for these folks: Antichrist. Wow!
