As we approach the end of our story about Jesus going viral across the Roman Empire, we read in Acts 27 and 28 about a dramatic sea voyage. Paul is thrown into the ocean as the ship he’s on is pounded into splinters against the rocks.
What brought Paul to this dramatic disaster? Did he deserve this? Was it someone else’s fault? Can bad things still happen even when we obey God at every turn?
Obedience, control, and trust when “all hope was gone” (Acts 27:20) is our focus for this week.
